Arsenal vs. AZ

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas scored the opening goal from just outside the penalty area in the 25th minute, with a low shot that was clearly not being expected by keeper Romero.

Samir Nasri made it 2-0 shortly before the break, collecting the ball outside the area before beating Romero with a right-footed strike.

Arsenal kept going after the break, and Fabregas made it 3-0 following an assist from Arshavin in the 52nd minute.

The fourth and final home goal came in the 72nd minute, with Abou Diaby having only the keeper to beat. The Frenchman did well to chip the keeper for 4-0.

Minutes after Graziano Pelle had a volley deflected onto the bar by Arsenal goalie Manuel Almunia, Jeremain Lens did save some of AZ's pride with a well-performed shot in the 82nd minute, 4-1.

With ten points from four games, there isn't much that could still go wrong for Arsenal. AZ on the other hand, are in last place with just two points and need wins over Olympiakos and Standard in their remaining games, and depend on the results in Arsenal's remaining matches with these two teams.
